LATTICE APRIL AND MAY VIRTUAL SESSIONS
During this unprecedented time, educators are looking for creative ways to engage their students.
As a learning community and international network that cultivates and supports global perspectives in K-12 classrooms, we have been providing opportunities to hear from other inhabitants of our global village. On April 2 and May 14, we had the chance to "check-in" with educators from around the world who provides authentic information and stories about how their schools and communities are responding to the COVID-19 pandemic. It was a great opportunity and there is more to come!
Take a look at the results of the May session evaluation survey.
SAWBO
Scientific Animations Without Borders (SAWBO) is a program currently based at Michigan State University.
SAWBO is focused on taking life-improving knowledge and making it available to people of all literacy levels and language groups. Briefly, SAWBO makes educational animations, collaboratively with global topic experts, and places the resultant animations into numerous languages. Once created, all content is made free for others to use, online or offline, as they see fit for education purposes. SAWBO has over 90 animations in over 145 languages.
Recently, SAWBO teamed up with Dr. Stephen Esquith and the Residential College in the Arts and Humanities to create animations on COVID-19. The first animation, Protecting Yourself from Coronavirus, is available in over 30 languages and can be found at https://bit.ly/2zLVUqK or https://sawbo-animations.org/859. The general SAWBO video library can be found at https://sawbo-animations.org/
